TIE&TAC, on behalf of British School of Leather Technology (now called “Institute for Creative Leather Technologies”) University of Northampton, UK (www.northampton.ac.uk) has organised and successfully managed two educational seminars entitled:
These seminars showcased the expertise available at the British School of Leather Technology (BSLT) to an invited audience including professionals and practitioners from the Leather Trade and Industry, Academics, Researchers and Students in and around Chennai.
These seminars were in collaboration with the Central Leather Research Institute, Chennai. Dr T Ramasami, who was the Director, inaugurated the seminars.
The seminars discussed the potential of the worldwide career opportunities in Leather Industry covering Footwear, Clothing, Upholstery and Automotives. As a result, students from Chennai have opted to pursue their MSc in Leather Technology at BSLT.
Other Projects on offer:
Counselling for Overseas Education at Schools: This project envisages identifying counsellors and training them to advise students and parents from the ages of 15 to 18 to consider Overseas Education as a destination for UG courses in several traditional and modern disciplines. National Research Foundation: A Foundation managed by IIM Alumni, who are very Senior Executives in India. The Foundation has a cohort of senior Corporate Executives who wish to register for M Phil, Research (PhD or DBA) studies, to be conducted in India using various delivery modes such as on-line tutorials, Video Conferencing seminars, Study Tours to UK and joint supervision in India.
